Credit card review: Designed for people with good-to-excellent credit
who are looking for a comprehensive cash back program, the Blue Cash Card from
American Express offers unlimited cash rebates that increase the more the card
is used. The only credit card that currently offers up
to a 5% cash rebate on
everyday puchases, the American Express Blue Cash card was named the 'best cash-rebate
card' by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine in November of 2007.
Cardholders
start out by earning 1% on all purchases at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations
and 0.5% on other purchases. Once a balance of $6500 is reached, a generous rebate of 5% and 1.5%
is paid and there is absolutely no limit to the cash back you can earn. You can even earn rebates for bills paid on an automatic basis with
the Blue Cash card. In addition to the cash rebates, the American Express Blue Cash
Card offers many excellent user benefits and services, commonly found with American
Express credit cards, such as a buyer's assurance and protection plans, up to
$100,000 in travel accident insurance, no annual fee and a 0% introductory offer
(see details above). After the introductory period the APR
is reasonably low, which makes this card ideal for those who plan to occassionally
carry a balance.
