Credit card review: The American Express JetBlue Card provides travel
rewards to frequent flyers, particularly beneficial for those who use Jet Blue
Airlines. The JetBlue Card includes a reasonable annual fee when compared to
other branded airline credit cards and has a typical APR, however, the TrueBlue®
point system is a little confusing in comparison to other programs.
Earn one Award
Dollar for every purchase you make with the American Express Jet Blue Card. Once you accumulate 200
Award Dollars you will earn one TrueBlue Point. One hundred True Blue Points
can be redeemed for one award flight. To simplify: you need to collect 20,000 Award Dollars to earn a
free flight.
There is no limit to the amount of
Award Dollars you can earn, but they expire one year after they
are issued. The TrueBlue Points also expire one year after they are earned through the True Blue program.
American Express JetBlue cardholders can earn bonus Award
Dollars with their first purchase and by participating in the Always Double Points
program for dining, leisure, entertainment and travel. Earn more when purchasing theater tickets,
visiting sports events, golfing, buying gym memberships and Jet Blue tickets. In addition
to the travel rewards, cardholders will gain American Express benefits such as buyer protection, extended warranty, auto rental and travel insurance
and more.
