Credit card review: A unique cash back reward card, the Bank of America Money
Return Visa Card is designed for people with good to excellent credit who regularly carry a balance.
While most cash back programs allow you to earn directly from new purchases, the Money Return Visa Card allows you to earn a 10% rebate
on all interest charges accumulated in the previous year. If you carry a balance regularly, this could equate to big savings. Rebates of $2 or more are mailed via check. Rebates
of less than $2 are credited to the account. Rebates are automatic
with no cap on earnings.
Obviously, the major drawback of the Money Return Card
is that cardholders have to carry a monthly balance in order to receive rebates,
which can prove costly over time. But for people who expect to carry a balance from month-to-month, the
Money Return Visa Card can help offset higher interest charges. Plus, the card has a reasonably low ongoing APR, no annual fee and a great 0% introductory APR
Other platinum
benefits that cardholders can expect include online banking, Total Security Protection®, auto rental insurance, travel assistance and more.
